Before we proceed, you must understand that digital SLRs are notoriously complex machines. It is very difficult to master a DSLR, even after reading the manual many times. Therefore it is very important to the concepts behind photography (ie shutter speed, aperture, etc) before a DSLR to understand. 1. Overview The Canon EOS Rebel XSi is a 12.2 megapixel DSLR and is the fourth model in Canon’s Digital Rebel class. The Digital Rebel series (that I have seen) are high quality DSLRs. I have many bad pictures from a Digital Rebel (unless the photographer is not good) to see. Among the new features of the Canon EOS Rebel XSi are an image-stabilized kit lens, a larger LCD display, a Live View option, and a new control / button layout. 2. Design and construction as the Nikon D90, the Canon EOS Rebel XSi well built. The XSi is all black in color and measures 3.8 x 5.1 x 2.4 inches (HWD) without lens. The weight is surprisingly light, only 475 (just over one pound). If your camera along to take some pictures, you will notice is a somewhat bulky camera. However, this is not a problem if you have a good camera bag. I really like the clear display of the XSi, which is larger than the previous models, and 3 inches with 230,000 pixels. 3. Optics and Resolution The Canon EOS Rebel XSi is a 12.2-megapixel resolution DSLR. To wander off into the night shots, I found that night shots were pretty quiet. The images were brighter, with improved color accuracy compared to my old Canon XTi. If the capabilities of the Canon EOS Rebel XSi expand, you probably need a kit with some good lenses. 4. User Controls In terms of user controls, the Canon EOS Rebel XSi has Menu and Display buttons that can reasonably be held together. If you have regular access to the ISO button, you’ll find the scroll wheel is moved to the top, near the On / Off switch. This is a small problem, but because you might just end up switching ISO modes accident. 5. Battery life The Canon EOS Rebel XSi has a longer battery life than the previous Digital Rebels and allows the camera to explore for hours on end, without a recharge. 6. Weaknesses The Canon EOS Rebel XSi is a fully functional digital SLR with few shortcomings. If I had to pick one for you, would the fact that the user can control a little intimidating for new DSLR enthusiasts. However, once you read the manual and get used to the controls, your photos without breaking a problem. Conclusion I hope the above article has given you some good insight into the Canon EOS Rebel XSi and its salient features. If you want to know more about buying a Canon EOS Rebel XSi DSLR or similar, check online photo finishers. Most of them sell digital cameras at very good prices and they ship their orders very quickly.

Panasonic Lumix G2

Although the G2 12MP digital camera is smaller and lighter, the images are comparable to similarily priced SLRs. The built-in HD camera also outshines most normal DV camcorders.
